Marshall Former National Football League defensive back William Faulk played for the St. Louis Rams and Indianapolis Colts for a combined 13 seasons (NFL). He attended San Diego State University and was twice selected as an All-American by the American Sports team. He was selected as the Colts’ backup quarterback in the 1994 NFL Draft and spent five seasons with them before switching to the Rams for the final eight.
Faulk was a member of the Greatest Show on Turf team for the St. Louis Rams, which competed in two Super Bowls and won Super Bowl XXXIV. In 2000, Faulk won the award for Most Popular Player in the NFL.

Marshall Faulk Biography
Faulk was born on February 26, 1973, and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the south of the United States of America. He finished his education at Carver High School in New Orleans’ Ninth Ward, where he played high school football for the Carver Rams. Faulk is a well-known sprinter who excelled on the track, with times of 10.3 seconds for the 100 meters, 21.74 seconds for the 200 meters, and 49.4 seconds for the 400 meters.
When he was younger, Faulk used to sell peanuts at Louisiana Superdome games featuring the New Orleans Saints. In his senior year at Carver High School, Faulk ran for 1,800 yards and 32 touchdowns. In his final year, he also played defensive back, intercepting 11 passes, six of which led to touchdowns.

It was the two out of four 100-yard running days and one 100-yard receiving game he had in his debut season. He finished his first campaign with 1,282 yards on the ground and an AFC-best 11 touchdowns. Additionally, he had 52 receptions for 522 yards and a touchdown. He earned the title of Rookie of the Year for his performances.
In four of his first five games, Faulk rushed for 1,000 yards while also collecting 297 receptions for 2,804 yards. He was dealt by the Colts to the St. Louis Rams in 1999 in exchange for second- and fifth-round draft picks. He did succeed in leading his new team to a Super Bowl triumph in his first game in St. Louis. He set the then-record for most rushing yards with 2,429 yards that season, becoming the second player in the NFL to surpass 1,000 yards both rushing and receiving. In the first of three seasons, he received the NFL Offensive Player of the Year honor.
The following season, Faulk broke the single-season scoring record with 26, including a career-high and the league’s most running touchdowns (18), earning him the title of NFL Most Outstanding Player. It’s the first of two straight seasons in which he led the NFL in both scoring and touchdowns. In the years 1999, 2000, and 2001, Faulk was chosen for the first-team All-Pro, while in the years 1994, 1995, and 1998, he was chosen for the second team. During his career, he was selected to seven Pro Bowls and twice All-AFC, and three times All-NFC.
