Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker had plans to take their children on a family vacation this summer. But, when some last-minute scheduling issues came up, they decided to take separate trips, and it turned out to be an awesome way for Kandi and Todd to spend quality time with their kids.
According to The Daily Dish, Kandi took her 16-year-old daughter Riley to Japan and South Korea, while Todd took his 23-year-old daughter Kaela to Europe. And, Kandi revealed in her KandiOnline vlog that the vacation improvisation allowed each parent to get some one-on-one time with each of their kids.

“We are a blended family and our girls were older when we got married,” Kandi explained. “It wasn’t like we had little babies… we had big girls. So even though they were older when we met, they still want their one-on-one time with each of us. If you had years with your parent and then they get married, you still sometimes just want that feeling of you and them.”
Kandi and Riley drove around Tokyo dressed as Pokemon characters and enjoyed some Instagram food trends. The RHOA star says that she did miss her husband, but she enjoyed spending time with her daughter. She also got an added bonus of spending time with her son, Ace, after she dropped Riley off in New York City for her internship before returning to Atlanta.
Meanwhile, Todd took Kaela to a strip club in London, and some fans were a little concerned about their choice of bonding activity. Todd defended the outing, saying that he and Kaela have gone to strip clubs before and it’s no big deal.
Now that both Kandi and Todd are back at home, they are enjoying each other’s company. She recently posted a pic on Instagram of the two laughing together as she wrapped her leg around him. The two looked happy and in love, and fans immediately took notice.

One fan wrote that the pic is an example of what love looks like, while another said that they “love black love,” and nothing can overpower it.
