Rising British recording artist and activist Mae Stephens builds upon the monumental success of her debut single ‘If We Ever Broke Up’ with the release of her latest track ‘ADHD’ – a lyrically powerful, self-reflective pop bop that sees the fearless singer take ownership of supposed “flaws” and embrace her truth.
Co-written by Stephens alongside Joe Kirkland, Pink Slip and Summer Overstreet, the super inspiring song serves as something of a rally cry for those living with the much debated, and often misunderstood condition that affects people’s behaviour.
Commenting on the single, Mae says via a press release: “‘ADHD’ is a really important track for me. It’s about my process of going through understanding myself, and how the word ‘disorder’ is the wrong term for it, as it’s my normality. To anyone with ADHD, you are seen, and you are loved.”
