President Donald Trump has taken one step forward and two backward over his obsession with inaccurately warning people in Alabama about the possibility that they might get hit by Hurricane Dorian.
A lengthy and tirelessly exchange took place between Trump, the media, and government meteorologists this week after the president shared a map of the hurricane’s projected path that featured a line drawn on it with a Sharpie to make it look it was going to smash over Alabama.

After the National Hurricane Center said the map was wrong, Trump was asked about the matter, he revealed: “No, I just know, yeah. I know that Alabama was in the original forecast. They thought it would get it, as a piece of it, it was supposed to go — Actually we have a better map of that which is going to be presented, where we had many lines going directly — many models, each line being a model. And they were going directly through. And in all cases, Alabama was hit. If not likely, in some cases pretty hard. Georgia and Alabama, it was a different route. They actually gave that a 95 percent chance probability.”
A reporter asked Trump: “That map that you showed us today looked like it almost had, like, a Sharpie written on it.”

POTUS responded: “Trump cut off the reporter and said, “I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know.”
He also took to Twitter to defend his faux map: “This was the originally projected path of the hurricane in its early stages. As you can see, almost all models predicted it to go through Florida also hitting Georgia and Alabama.”

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) was forced to release a statement on Friday explaining Trump was wrong: “Birmingham National Weather Service’s Sunday morning tweet spoke in absolute terms that were inconsistent with probabilities from the best forecast products available at the time. From Wednesday, August 28, through Monday, September 2, the information provided by NOAA and the National Hurricane Center to President Trump and the wider public demonstrated that tropical-storm-force winds from Hurricane Dorian could impact Alabama.”
The Fake News Media was fixated on the fact that I properly said, at the beginnings of Hurricane Dorian, that in addition to Florida & other states, Alabama may also be grazed or hit. They went Crazy, hoping against hope that I made a mistake (which I didn’t). Check out maps…..

One commenter replied: “Good God. The level of stupidity that emanates from this administration is unprecedented.”
This person wrote: “When in doubt, Sharpee the truth in! It looks like it has missed Alabama.”
Pete Buttigieg addressed the situation by saying that he feels “sorry for the President” and added: “I feel sorry for the President, and that is not the way we should feel about the most powerful figure in this country, somebody on whose wisdom our lives literally depend.”

A personal friend has said that the president will never admit he did something wrong.
