Ever since her infamous mental breakdown in 2007, mega popstar Britney Spears’ finances have been under the control of her dad, Jamie. Because Britney wasn’t in a good place mentally Jamie became her conservator, and has continued to call the shots in his daughter’s life for more than a decade. But now, Britney wants her freedom and control of her finances back, and she is going to court to make it happen.
As fans know, Britney just completed a stint in a Southern California mental health facility last month. And, according to Radar Online, her friends don’t think she is ready to be in charge of millions of dollars.

“Britney wants out of it while proving to everyone why she still needs to have one to begin with,” says an insider. “Her bid for freedom and control over her entire life may not be granted and, if it isn’t, her friends really believe that it may send her into a tailspin.”
Britney is scheduled to appear in court on May 10th, and some of her friends believe that the judge in the conservator hearing will take into account her recent release from a mental wellness center. The friends of the 37-year-old are pretty sure that this is proof that she is not ready to handle life on her own.
Jamie is currently in poor health, and he nearly died last fall after undergoing a second surgery to repair a ruptured colon. This means that the judge will need to make some changes in Britney’s conservatorship, but the question is: Is Britney the right person to control her finances?
Ever since she completed treatment, Britney has appeared to be doing much better. The Toxic singer recently posted a video on Instagram of herself doing yoga in a bikini while Cardi B’s I Like It played as the soundtrack.

In the clip, Spears does the splits, walks on her hands, and performs various yoga poses.
“Yoga on the green 😜😌I really like it LIKE THAT,” Spears captioned the video.

Before she left the mental wellness center, Britney addressed the rumor that she was being held against her will and also revealed there had been death threats against her family and her team. With all of the crazy things being said, Spears told her fans in an Instagram video that she is doing “what’s best,” and she also asked for them to respect her privacy.
